For over 39 years, Robert W. Wells has combined his engineering and legal training to develop a practice in commercial litigation and environmental law. Mr. Wells has been av rated by Martindale-Hubbell.


Mr. Wells' practice includes civil litigation in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings before the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH). He is a member of the trial bar of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. His litigation practice includes environmental claims and defense in all courts including claims for injunctive relief to compel cleanup and litigation involving environmental damage including third party cost recovery litigation under CERCLA. Mr. Wells has experience in responding to notices of violation issued by state and local environmental agencies, and petitions challenging agency action and rule making.

Mr. Wells is a past Chair of the Executive Council of the Environmental and Land Use Law Section of The Florida Bar.  In 1994, Mr. Wells served as Vice Chair of the Florida Petroleum Efficiency Task Force.

Mr. Wells graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1976 where he was Executive Editor of the Florida State University Law Review.
